Moses Lake LDS Temple Wedding | Azelia and Ryan

As a wedding photographer, I’ve had the privilege of working with couples from a variety of backgrounds, each bringing their own unique traditions and values to their big day. Azelia and Ryan got married at the LDS Temple in Moses Lake and it was a beautiful occasion.

The biggest difference when photographing a LDS wedding is the ceremony itself. A traditional Mormon wedding typically takes place inside a Temple—a sacred, private space that is open only to those who are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) and have been through a temple recommend process. Due to the sacredness of the ceremony, photographers are usually not permitted to take photos during the vows or inside the temple. Instead, the emphasis is placed on the post-ceremony moments: family portraits, couple portraits, and shots of the couple exiting the temple, often in front of the large, striking temple architecture.

Listed below are a few of these moments from Azelia and Ryan’s bit day!
